Purchasing Officer/Inventory Controller

Ngaanyatjarra Construction and Maintenance Services (NCAMS) is currently seeking a Purchasing Officer / Inventory Controller to join our team based in the Perth CBD

About the Role  

Great opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Officer / Inventory Controller to join Ngaanyatjarra Construction and Maintenance Services, a dynamic and rapidly growing business operating principally in the maintenance and construction sectors, throughout remote WA.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is ensuring that all materials are available in a timely and cost-effective manner, coordinating the purchase, receipt and processing for all direct material costs.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play an integral role in the day to day running of a busy and growing maintenance and construction business.

Your responsibilities will include:

Your hands-on role as Purchasing Officer / Inventory Controller will include but not be limited to the following duties:

  • Raising and receipting of purchase orders
  • Stocktake entry, analysis and resolution
  • Prepare cycle count schedules and co-ordinate Stock take activities
  • Maintain accurate stock levels across multiple sites
  • Evaluating alternative suppliers
  • Review and reduce slow moving stock
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Investigate stock variance and adjust records in line with actual Stock condition
  • Report on Inventory Status and make recommendations for corrections

About you

  • A minimum 5 years purchasing and inventory control experience
  • Previous experience in purchasing within a multi-site products business would be beneficial
  • Hands-on experience with inventory and purchasing software
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
  • Strong and articulate communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confident and Personable
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent work ethic

Benefits

This full-time position comes with a remuneration package that includes a base salary of $65,000 per annum, plus superannuation, four weeks annual leave, leave loading, plus salary sacrifice up to $15,900 per FBT year to provide more net pay.
