Warehouse Officer

An opportunity exists for an experienced Warehouse Officer to join our team based in Warburton, Ngaanyatjarra Lands, WA. Responsible for the autonomous hands-on co-ordination of inventory for all public housing and major construction projects within the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. This role involves all facets of warehousing and stores.

About the role

Taking direction from the Operations Supervisor, the Warehouse Officer will assist in meeting the construction, emergency, cyclical repairs and maintenance work. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure targets are achieved and that processes are optimised and running smoothly.

Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) represents the interests of around 2000 members who live in 12 remote Indigenous Communities in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of Western Australia.

Your key duties will include

  • Perform the operation and control of the warehouse from goods in, storage, movement, goods out and contractor order fulfilment.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure communication flow for all processes
  • Maintain Health & Safety procedures and direct a safe working environment
  • Picking orders
  • Maintain an accurate inventory and exhibit excellent stock control
  • Manage investigations into stocktake results
  • Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding areas
  • Optimise layouts and ensure efficient space utilisation

About you

  • Proven experience in a Warehouse Officer role
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practises
  • Licence to Perofrm High RIsk Work (Forklift)
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Current LR Drivers Licence
  • Excellent time management skills including punctuality
  • High standard of honest, integrity, reliability and professionalism
  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Benefits

This full-time position comes with a remuneration package that includes a base salary of $70,000, per annum plus superannuation, eight weeks annual leave, leave loading, PBI salary packaging, $4,333 remote allowance, annual airfare, fully furnished accommodation (utility costs, Internet, water, and electricity, covered) with a fully maintained vehicle for work purposes.
