Store Manager - Tjukurla

The Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) is an organisation representing the interests of around 2000 Ngaanyatjarra, Pintupi, and Pitjantjatjara people living in 12 Communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.

We are seeking an enthusiastic manager to join our dynamic team at Tjukurla Community WA as the Store Manager for an immediate start.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Managing resources to ensure the satisfactory operation of the Tjukurla Store
  • Provide effective leadership, management, supervision and on the job training to Aboriginal store workers
  • Implement any policies of the Community Council which relate to operation of the store

Experience working in a community store or comparable retail enterprise is desirable and a basic knowledge of the aboriginal history culture and contemporary aboriginal political, social, cultural and economic issues is essential. This is a very hands on roll requiring a level of fitness to be able to complete the tasks effectively.
