Tenancy Administration Officer

An opportunity exists with Ngaanyatjarra Council Regional Housing Program (NCRHP) for a Tenancy Administration Officer to join our team based in Perth CBD. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person with a strong interest in remote communities to make a real difference to the lives of Aboriginal people. 

Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) represents the interests of around 2000 members who live in 11 remote Indigenous Communities in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Processing tenancy applications and the termination of tenancies
  •  Confirm income using appropriate Centrelink protocols
  • Documenting new tenancies and tenancy changes in Habitat software
  • Scheduling property inspection details in Habitat software together with filing the property reports in the appropriate property file. Sending notices to community offices
  •  Analysing debt reports
  •  Ensure accurate tenancy data is documented
  • Participate and prepare for relevant internal meetings raising issues
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement
  • Liaison with Community Service Managers and other team members in relation to community and tenancy matters

The skills required to be considered for this role include:

  • Tenancy management experience
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of tenancies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • Capability to multitask
  • High attention to detail with a high standard of organisational skills
  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, MSWord), and CRM software preferred.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team with a ‘can do’ approach. 

This full-time position comes with a remuneration package that includes a base salary of $55,000 plus salary packaging and annual leave loading,
